It was back in 1998 that Rex Hartley and partner Kevin Mark set up Bodyshop Management Systems to provide business management advice and IT support to ANZ collision repairers.
After working with many shops it was identified that the business management and reporting was a significant issue affecting most business. Management systems could help owners and staff to run more productive and profitable businesses. Bodyshop Management Systems sourced a UK bodyshop management software program and completed a complete re-write and customisation for Australian and New Zealand requirements.
The new software program was launched as BMS in 2000, and re-named in 2004 as WebTRIM (Web Time Recording Information Management)
Body Shop Management Systems quickly became a market leader, offering more capability and scope than any locally produced BMS.
In 2004 the Bodyshop Consulting and Bodyshop Management Systems Software were divided into two companies, the software company was renamed WebTRIM.
Rex Hartley the founder of WebTRIM has had a long career in business, working in homewares wholesale and distribution and building supplies. Before Starting WebTRIM, Hartley was a consultant and financial controller at one of Australia’s largest building supply manufacturers.
