Subaru dealers Makin and Luby facilitated its second Subaru preferred repairer conference for the Victorian preferred repairers.

"As the industry evolves with changes occurring on a daily basis, one thing is for sure, the commitment from Subaru Australia and Makin & Luby to the Subaru Preferred repairer network," said Ahmet Ahmed,Makin & Luby parts development manager. "Not since the inception of the network have Makin & Luby and Subaru invested so many resources into the network. Our aim is to offer Subaru owners a robust, problem-free, high quality repair process if the unthinkable happens."

Conference speakers included the Victoria Police Major Collision Investigation Squad, Randem Marketing and Odyssey Business Improvement, amongst other presenters. Delegates from Subaru flew down from head office to announce its on-going commitment to joint programs with I-CAR Australia and AARN (Australian Automotive Repair Network). The venue was the Carlton United Brewhouse which also hosted a brief but informed tour of the C.U.B bottling factory.

The purpose of Subaru conference was to inform, educate and give repairers the tools they need to harness more Subaru repairs and offer Subaru owners a point of difference and peace of mind that the repairs will be carried out to the highest standards.

Makin & Luby are the major suppliers of genuine OEM Subaru parts to the network and also one of the largest stockist of Subaru OEM parts in Australia.

"It's no secret that the growth of our network will be beneficial for all involved but first and foremost we have to ensure that everyone involved adheres to Subaru's strictest policies and guidelines to give the Subaru owners the best possible service in their moment of need," Ahmed said. "With allegiances with like-minded repairers, backed by Subaru Australia, coupled with a freedom of choice insurer and the use of Genuine OEM parts, we are well on the way to offering the Subaru insured customer a very creditable, quality alternative to the fast-paced, cost-driven processes that are on offer.

"We also have to consider trading these cars back into our system to resell, we have an obligation to ensure they are repaired to the standards Subaru demands and more importantly an obligation to ensure the safety of our Subaru customers."
