Congratulations to Southern Smash Repairs who have been officially recognised as Tasmania’s Body Repairer Of The Year at the 2019 TACC Castrol Motor Industry Awards. The Tasmanian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (TACC) instituted the TACC Castrol Motor Industry Awardsin 2005, to officially recognise the many excellent automotive businesses in Tasmania providing exceptional service to customers, staff and their local community. TACC General Manager, Malcolm Little, said that the TACC Castrol Motor Industry Awards clearly demonstrate member dedication to quality and passion for the automotive industry. “Winners of the TACC Castrol Motor Industry Awards really are the best in the Tasmanian automotive industry,” Little said. Awards across 13 categories were presented including: achievement in body repair; aftermarket and retailing; automotive specialisation; new and used car dealer, engine reconditioning; towing; motorcycle dealer, small and large mechanical repair; tyre dealer; auto electrics; and underbody repair. “TACC was overwhelmed by the number of entries received from all over the state. Judging was not an easy task, as all applications were of such a high quality. It’s fantastic to see members wanting to share their stories and successes,” Little said. Each entry was evaluated based on the business’ approach to customer service, professional development, industry improvement, and environmental and occupational health and safety, to ensure that only the best of the best would be announced as winners. “TACC recommends the winning businesses to Tasmanian motorists.
