Seaford Crash Repairs is now fully operational after a fire ripped through the premises on 3 November, the suspected cause was arson.

Manager Steve Sferruzzi spoke to Paint & Panel, acknowledging that while it had been a difficult time it's business as usual for the team, after leasing Christies Auto Centre, Christies Beach.

“We are still doing pick up and drop off at Seaford's, so we are towing cars back and forth. But this allows customers to continue to get a quote from the Seaford site or they can come to our new site.”

Sferruzzi praised the local community for all their support and efforts.

“I just want to again thank the local community for coming together and supporting our business, their continued support would also be greatly appreciated.”

According to a report by the ABC, Seaford Crash Repairs owner Ted Sferruzzi and his family were asleep in their home behind the Old Noarlunga business before fleeing the site on 3 November.

More than 45 firefighters were required to get the blaze under control, which started just after 2:00am.

Ted Sferruzzi said he was at a loss to explain why he was targeted.

"That's what I can't believe," he said. "I mean, if people have problems, why don't they approach us?

A cause for the fire has still not been determined, however police suspect arson, with the perpetrators possibly another local business.

“There is nothing definite yet, it's all very much 'he said she said' but they've suspected another smash repairer," Steve Sferruzzu said.
