Renault has unveiled its redesigned Koleos SUV to 80 global markets with an updated range of features and functionalities at the Beijing International Automobile Exhibition.

The brand has also announced that the Koleos will be Renault's flagship model in the Australian market.The redesign marks Renault's first D-segment SUV is geared towards creating a user-configurable design with a protective interior with an interactive control centre.

This features BOSE audio, infotainment, navigation, hands-free telephony, radio and driver aids.

Core safety features include the ability to neutralise understeer and oversteer to enhance stability in tough conditions.

Renault Australia MD Justin Hocevar said that the roll out will target its growth strategy in the domestic market.

“The new Koleos will play a critical role in the continued expansion of Renault’s business in Australia.

“This vehicle is a core model and the new Koleos will give us and our network business partners a very appealing and well-equipped product with which to compete in this very important segment.”

The new Koleos will be phased into Australia this year, with production to take off at the Renault Nissan alliance plant in Korea.
