There has been a rash of shop closures in Sydney recently with four shops that this publication has heard about closing their doors.

Lillyfield Smash Repairs in Rozelle, Sydney's inner west shut its beautiful, almost heritage doors while Padstow Smash in Bankstown, a family owned business run by the Panagopoulos family for the last 26 years is also closed.

JPL's Motor Body Repairs in Gladesville has also closed down and more recently, over towards the south west, Milperra Road Smash Repairs in Revesby has gone out of business.

PJ Ward Repairs in Marrickville also closed last year when the owner retired.

It's not all doom and gloom, as there are still people willing and confident enough to take over the reins. Over in Minto head panel beater Aaron Samphier has bought AAA Malibu from former owner Deominic Desisto. Samphier says he loves cars, knows the business well and when it was offered to him it was an easy decision to buy it.

Over in Illawarra Lyndon Brown has bought Elchaars Accident Repairs Centre in Undanderra. It is now called Brown Accident Repair. We wish Samphier and Brown success in their new ventures.
