Our survey says that not enough bodyshop owners and managers have filled it out yet. We’re up to 243 respondents – thank you people, but we need 300 to make it to around 10 percent of the industry.

Here’s a sneak peak of some of the answers – do you agree with them? If not, or even if you do, please take seven minutes out of your day to let us know. We’ll publish the results as soon as we reach our magic number. I don’t like to threaten, but we may have to resort to the annoying pop up on the website.

57% of respondents repair less than 10 cars per week , 23.8% repair 11-20 and  13% repair 21-25 cars per week.

We’ve had the most responses from New South Wales (32.22%)– thank you – with Victoria second at 20%. Come of Victorians there are plenty more of you out there.

Profits

Over the last 12 months, 41% report steady profits, 31% have seen a fall in profits and 28% have seen an increase in profits.

As far as work volume the stats are similar with 40% rising, 33% staying the same and 27% seeing a decrease.

Solvent is king with respondents so far with 55% using it, while 24% use waterbourne and 21% use a mixture of both.

And that’s all we’re revealing so far – click here if you are a bodyshop owner or manager and let us know how your business is travelling this year.
