Tony Sanchez was elected the new president of the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (VACC) changed hands on 30 November.
Sanchez is the 56th VACC President and has already served VACC for many years in roles such as his chairmanship of the association's Automotive Electrical Division and served on the  VACC board of management and executive board.

Sanchez runs an auto electrical business, ALS Automotive, in South Melbourne. He has worked for many years with outgoing President, Peter Savige, and said:  “I pay my respects to Mr Savige, who has served the membership so superbly over the past two years, leading the board of management and the executive board.
“Mr Savige has worked extremely hard and effectively during his term of office and throughout that time has also served as the Used Car Traders Division Chairman, and Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee and the Investment Committee.
“Mr Savige has overseen numerous changes at VACC, ones that have ensured the association has a long
and meaningful future,” President Sanchez said.
In his handover speech Savige said that Sanchez would make an excellent VACC President.
“Mr Sanchez is a devoted VACC Director and an outstanding leader. I commend him to all members as a decent and honourable man who will serve the Victorian automotive industry."
