Vizion Group has send Paint & Panel the following report about how it was formed and its plans for the future.

Over the past year and a half the idea of a new group has emerged in Western Australia.  Inspired by the constantly evolving world of the body repair industry, which like many, indeed all other industries, has had to endure the power of big business forcing change and demanding lower costs.

The industry in WA has gone through a series of significant changes and continues to be very dynamic and competitive. This will continue in the years to come and the number of viable businesses in the industry will contract.  Consolidation has become the catch-cry nationally with the big becoming bigger and multi-site operations growing.  In WA the trend has been slower to develop, but four WA repairers believe it is time for independent single site operators to work together to seek the benefits that a group business environment can offer.

The directors of the Vizion Group have embraced this need for change.   They currently own and operate four established businesses and are in negotiations to purchase others.  They are joint directors and shareholders of Vizion Group Pty Ltd.  Their businesses are modern purpose-built body repair enterprises, all with the most up-to-date equipment and repair processes.

Nick Farago and Heath Barber own Paull & Warner in Perth and Belmont and Wade Morrison and Scott Bitters own and operate Universal Panel & Paint in Neerabup.  Vizion O’Connor is the newest acquisition and the first of the group’s businesses to be branded under the Vizion banner.

These young, business savvy professionals saw the need to change.  Their aim is to present a group of strategically placed businesses that provide a consolidated offer to work providers which will benefit all parties and increase the volume of repairs through all the group businesses.

The company was established in 2017 to acquire and operate a group of professional body repair businesses using economies of scale to streamline processes and reduce operating costs.  Vizion is a privately owned, multi-site business focussed on customer service and quality outcomes. The management team uses industry best practice to provide fast and cost-effective repair management, lean initiatives to minimise waste and economies of scale to reduce overheads.

The company is professionally run by a board of directors, who are all equal owners of Vizion Group Pty Ltd.

The board meets monthly and meetings are chaired by Noelle Simons who has a 25 year history working in the motor industry, firstly with MTAWA and the last nine of those years as General Manager of the Car Craft Group.  Since retiring from Car Craft she has worked with the directors over the past 18 months to establish Vizion Group.

Barry Bitters, the sixth member of the board, is a retired insurance industry executive whose expertise lies in business and financial management.  He has been instrumental in assisting the successful development of Universal Panel & Paint over the past 11 years and continues to provide guidance to the new enterprise.

The directors have also sought and received valuable input from various other industry professionals and believe that this combined business management expertise and their technical and operational know-how stand the group in good stead for the future.

The directors Vizion Group are actively seeking to acquire other body repair businesses in WA that have a reputation for professional service and quality repairs.  Go to www.viziongroup.com.au or email info@viziongroup.com.au.
