Paint & Panel's widely acclaimed LIVE conference is back - bigger, better and bolder than ever on Friday 5 August from 9.30am at Sydney's Randwick Racecource. Tickets go on sale today.

The theme for 2016 is Knowledge is Power. The day will consist of a morning of speakers and short international videos rounded off by a panel discussion moderated by MTAA CEO Richard Dudley. After lunch there will be a number of casual training sessions on a number of different topics which will be announced over the next couple of months. There will also be a Next Generation session where all young shop owners and managers will be welcome to network and listen to their own speaker.

Gavin Smith

LIVE 16's keynote speaker is Gavin Smith, President of Bosch Australia. The Bosch Group is a leading global supplier of technology and services - it invents and develops so many of the components and tools which shape the state of today's and tomorrow's car service and repair. Smith is privvy to all the latest developments in vehicle technology and trends.

In addition to his Bosch responsibilities, Smith is a councillor for the Australian Industry Group, and holds board positions with Stillwell Motor Group, FMP and the German-Australian Chamber of Commerce.

Dan Gregory is the founder and CEO of The Impossible Institute, a Research and Training organisation that advises management and sales departments on what truly drives their customers and employees and is sure to challenge delegates and light up the stage.

Jeff Smit technical editor of The Automotive Technician, head trainer and business director stays at the forefront of diagnostic technology.

He owns and operates two auto electrical, general repair and air conditioning workshops in Sydney, and he was instrumental in establishing The Automotive Technician network with two partners in 2007.
He has toured widely throughout Australia and New Zealand delivering technical workshops and training sessions, and as a result of a co-branded business training project, he has concentrated on helping workshop operators manage their businesses more effectively and profitably.

Paint & Panel is also talking to car manufacturers and digital marketing companies to complete the speaker line up for the day and will be announcing more speakers over the coming weeks.
