Hyundai Motor Company Australia (HMCA) has appointed Jung Wook Lee to the role of CEO.
Lee joins the Australian arm of the company from its HQ in Seoul, Korea where he was head of export planning and management.
He has also completed a stint at Hyundai Motor India as the head of sales for Asia Pacific.
Lee said he is excited to lead the company's Australian business.
"I am very proud to join Hyundai Motor Company Australia as Chief Executive Officer.
"Australia is one of the world's most successful Hyundai markets in terms of overall market share, and I join the Australian operation as we enter the most exciting time in our company’s history.
“I will strive to build on our successes as we develop our brands – not only Hyundai, but also Genesis and N High Performance – and launch some fantastic new models in the years to come."
Lee replaces former chief executive Charlie Kim who will relocate to Washington DC in a senior operations role.
