Holden has announced the appointment of Marc Ebolo as managing director of Holden New Zealand.

Ebolo replaces Kristian Aquilina who was appointed as Holden's director of marketing in April overseeing both Australia and New Zealand.

Ebolo was previously General Motors' general manager of revenue strategies where he managed regional operations in Malaysia, Brunei and Fiji.

Holden chairman and MD Mark Bernhard said that Ebolo's experience with Holden's distribution, sales and marketing functions made him an excellent choice.

“Holden's New Zealand operations has experienced great success in the past few years and Marc's appointment will continue to build momentum for the Holden brand and sales in New Zealand.

“Marc's experience executing sales strategies and his knowledge across Holden's distribution, sales and marketing functions makes him an exceptional choice to lead the New Zealand team.”

Ebolo said he was looking forward to joining the team and strengthening Holden's market position.

“As a business and as a brand, we have the opportunity to grow in New Zealand.

“I'm excited to showcase our range – the best we've ever had – and continue to grow sales, particulalry in the key SUV, LCV and passenger segments.”
