A reminder that the epic Acland Street Father’s Day Car & Bike Show in St Kilda is nearly here.
Acland Street, in Melbourne’s bayside suburb of St Kilda, is already known as an exciting entertainment hub but each year, on a special day for Dads, it takes on a more high-octane personality for a family favourite event. After drawing a record attendance for its 10th Anniversary running in 2023, this year’s Acland Street Father’s Day Car & Bike Show (Sunday 1st September, from 10am to 6pm) is shaping up to be another classic, according to show promotor, Elvis Barbieri, from Showcars Melbourne / Prestige Events P/L.
“Last year’s show attracted 60,000 plus people, making it the biggest Father’s Day event in Melbourne. For 2024 we have another full spread of family entertainment right across Acland St Village, Shakespeare Grove, O’Donnell Gardens and Luna Park forecourt. The main drawcard is sure to be the huge display of 900-plus cars and bikes but there will also be attractions for all ages, including carnival rides, face painting, two bands and a Luna Park promo where Dads ride free on Father’s Day. If you are still looking for an ideal Father’s Day gift, you could well find it amongst the 30-plus exhibitor stalls showcasing things like car accessories, performance parts, man-cave signs, etc. On top of that, all the local restaurants, cafes, bars and shops will be open all day. As this event continues to grow in popularity, we are particularly proud to have PPG continue their support – you can even submit your vote for the PPG Choice awards on the day.”
Given that so many custom vehicle builders choose PPG for their projects, it’s no wonder that the VIBRANCE COLLECTION custom paint finish range is a natural fit for this event. From bare metal through to the final clearcoat layer PPG’s easy-to-use product portfolio is the perfect way to create an unforgettable finish. No doubt, examples will be on show up and down Acland Street.
