Scott Shalders has clocked up 30 years service at Harris Accident Repair Centre in Ararat, Victoria.
He started out at 16 years old sweeping the floors after school. He worked in their radiator shop for eight years. Business owner Ron Harris said: " We used to do radiator repairs and Scott was in what's little better than a shack with no air conditioning and no heating. Hot or cold he was in there every day."
Shalders then undertook his spray painting apprenticeship and worked in the paintshop for 14 years. He now runs the estimating and management side of the business. He also drives towtrucks on the weekends and after hours.
Harris told us Shalders has a passion for the outdoors, fishing and Essendon Football Club and spending time with his kids. He knows absolutely everyone locally. "He has a ripper memory and remembers all of our customers.
"He's one of those guys you want in your corner - a real goer and hard worker."
