A number of repairers across Australia have come forward warning businesses about a panel beater scamming his way from shop to shop and taking advantage of shop owners desperate for tradesmen.

Going under a number of names including Dean Christopher Wright or 'Deano', repairers claim that the con artist has been peddling the same story cross-country before ripping off owners.

Wright (who has allegedly given the surname White to one repairer in Goulburn, Victoria) has spun a web to catch owners' good nature telling them both his marriage and car have broken down and he's been left without a dollar looking for immediate employment.

A shop in Penrith first alerted us after they had arranged accommodation for him but when he got there they wouldn’t accept him because he has no photo ID.

There's a warrant out for his arrest and he even describes himself on his Facebook page as a professional scammer.

His name on Facebook is Dean Christopher Wright.

Our source told us: "It looks like this page has been setup through others trying to find him as he prays on panel shops wanting panel beaters and then fleeces them for money and equipment and unaware staff for loans that he never intends paying back.

"He looks to be on the run from one panel shop to another with the intention of conning them for money only."

When Paint & Panel issued an alert via our Facebook page, bodyshops from around the country recognised him saying they too have been fleeced by the fraudster:
