Axalta has donated $10,000 to not-for-profit charity and support service OzChild.

OzChild works with more than 6,000 young people and children across Victoria, New South Wales and the ACT.

Thanks to the overwhelming participation by Axalta business customers, a donation was presented to OzChild’s director of finance and planning, Mark Powell by Axalta GM Steven Brett.

Danny Buzadzic from Western General Bodyworks Group and Vaughn Pappin from SmashCare also donated to the charity.

“We both want to see our future leaders thrive, and this was a practical way for us to support them in the amazing work they do with Australian children and providing a bright and rewarding future,” said Brett.

Chris Miller from Winfield Automotive Services in Port Melbourne was the winner of the fundraising competition, Built for Performance. He rode away with a 2016 BMW S1000RR motorbike.

Miller said he’d never won a competition before and was given quite a shock.

“I entered because it was for a great cause, supporting children’s charity OzChild, but I really wasn’t expecting to win at all,”

“I would definitely like to thank Axalta and our distributor Jefferson Paint Supplies.”
