Axalta has completed the upgrade of its Brisbane training facility which is now able to offer a greater level of personalised business training.

The newly designed facility will create greater flexibility for Axalta Services’ customers, providing unlimited access to targeted small group training courses, designed to help optimise bodyshop business practices.

As a result of the upgrade, bodyshop staff and owners now have access to targeted small-group training by Axalta Services consultants.

These services are also combined with hands-on demonstrations in the fully equipped workshop within the upgraded Brisbane Training Centre that is a joint initiative with distributor partner Brisbane Refinish Supplies.

Axalta Services consultant Dean Mills said the new facility is all about improving the efficiency and productivity of bodyshops, while the company will look to ramp up the availability of popular courses focused on those areas.

“Getting cars in and out of the workshop efficiently is so important to the viability of modern bodyshops, so our new facility means we can identify issues and customise our training for the staff, and really drive the implementation of our courses and the long-term improvement our customer’s business.

“Our LEAN 5S course, for instance, focuses on optimising and streamlining workplace practices to improve productivity, flow-through and profitability.”

Courses and coaching for Queensland customers can be booked in with Mills, any time, for any number of staff, with the teaching and implementation practices tailored to their own workshop
