Vehicle safety organisation ANCAP paid a visit to Queensland this week to promote its public education campaign 'What's Your ANCAP?'

ANCAP executives visited the Mt Cotton Driver Training Facility on Monday to build consumer awareness of ANCAP and its safety ratings and encourage drivers to opt for safer vehicles across the state.

ANCAP CEO James Goodwin said that as fatalities on Australian roads increase, the time to engage with the public on safety is now.

“The latest data is showing that while there are fewer older cars on the road, they are involved in the most fatal crashes.

“With the number of Queenslanders dying on our roads increasing rather than decreasing, we need to do all we can to get the community into the safest cars possible.”

The Queensland Government as well as RACQ are both members of ANCAP.
