MTA to meet with ACCC

MTA NSW has arranged a top level meeting with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) to discuss growing industry issues.

MTA is seeking more information on unfair practices conducted by "other key" stakeholders in the motor body repair industry.

Issues to be investigated include:

· Third line and Full line forcing

· Insurer contracts – unfair contract terms

· Written off vehicles

· MTA client management repair authority

· Two quotes/tendering estimating practises

· Choice of repairer terms and conditions

· Late payments and invoicing requirements
