Maureen Joseph leaves AAMI

After 15 years as AAMI's national industry relations manager, Maureen Joseph has announced her decision to leave the Suncorp insurance group in early July.

Head of Suncorp personal insurance motor claims, Sean Dempsey said Maureen had been a valued member of the AAMI motor claims team.

"We've all enjoyed working with Maureen over the years, and we will miss the expertise and enthusiasm for the smash repair industry that she bought to the role," Sean said.

Maureen has been involved in the Australian smash repair industry for over 20 years, initially working with the VACC as body repair division manager.

"Throughout my career, I've worked to build stronger relationships and improve communication between the insurance and smash repair industries," Maureen said.

"While at AAMI, I particularly enjoyed implementing initiatives that helped support the development of the next generation of skilled young smash repairers and sustain the growth of the motor repair industry in Australia, including through AAMI's apprentice and training subsidy schemes."

Maureen was also an active participant of the smash repair code implementation committee and has been a member of the code administration committee since its inception in 2006.

"I've enjoyed my time at AAMI and in the wider smash repair industry, and will miss the many characters I have met, and the friends I have made, during this time. I'm now looking forward to taking a well-deserved break," she said.
