Credit card scam example 2

A Paint and Panel reader has responded to our article on credit card scams and sent us an email he received (see below). MTA NSW recommends that anyone receiving a scam email should send it to the government's Scamwatch  website.

Hi,

 Glad to read back from you, I just move here in town and it will be
better for me to fix the car here so that is why i decided to contact a
collision body near to me .The car is an Escalade 2005 .
There is no insurance and warranty involved so i will be paying you
personally from my pocket with my credit card, I Have to make arrangement
with the towing company who will be bringing down the car to your workshop
in Perth for repair and they need to get paid also.
can you do the repair for me as I'm currently recuperating from an ear
surgery.

Kindly get back to me with your workshop address so i can forward it to the
tower driver.
