Former insurance company employee, Adam Thomas, has joined the Motor Traders Association of NSW to oversee code disputes.
The appointment resulted from recent investigation undertaken by the MTA for the Motor Vehicle Insurance and Repair Industry Code Review and the numerous complaints from repairers over possible transgressions or contraventions of the Code by insurers.
Known as an industry straight shooter, Thomas - formerly employed by a major insurer - will tackle breaches of the MVIRI Code of Conduct. He joins the MTA team in the Body Repair Divison.
As many in the industry would know, Thomas was instrumental in publicly confronting issues resulting in a review of how some insurers treat 'not at fault' claims.
Thomas will continue to spearhead the industry?s push for fairer and more transparent working practises in the body repair industry.
For Code issues he can be contacted at MTA Head Office on 02 9213 4222, by email adam.thomas@mtansw.com.au or by fax on 02 9212 6889.
