Now there’s a specialist DuPont refinish course available through I-CAR.
I-CAR Australia CEO Richard Pratt has announced that DuPont Performance Coatings, through DuPont Performance Services and its three refinish brands – Standox, Spies Hecker and DuPont Refinish – has successfully applied to join the industry training alliance program.
“The I-CAR industry training alliance exists to recognise the accomplishments of students’ training through approved training providers,” Pratt said.
“All programs approved for inclusion into the industry training alliance must support the I-CAR vision that every person in the collision industry, current and future, has the necessary knowledge and skills relevant to their position to achieve a complete and safe repair.”
After completion of the recognised DuPont courses, successful refinish students will be awarded accreditation points under the I-CAR program.
These recognition points apply to both the Gold Class Professionals and Platinum Individual programs, however points will expire and must be repeated or other training taken to maintain designations. Students attending the I-CAR live training courses and the online training program also receive points towards their individual recognition.
“DuPont Performance Coatings has been a long time supporter of I-CAR both in Australia and the US and is a Platinum Foundation member in Australia,” Pratt said. “DuPont’s continuing commitment to training and education, supported
by I-CAR’s international recognition
of achievement program, is to be applauded.”
Other major companies that have joined the I-Car industry training alliance are:
• AkzoNobel
• Glasurit
• Henkel
• Lord Fusor
