Car Craft recently began operations in Queensland and welcomed another start up group of around eight repairer members. Car Craft believes that there will be many more collision repairers in Queensland who will take advantage of the opportunities that has seen the WA group grow and prosper. The new venture will be known as Car Craft Queensland.
Car Craft Panel & Paint was created in Western Australia in 1987 by a small group of collision repairers with a vision and has expanded to include 39 members. In WA, it says it is Australia’s longest established and most successful group of premium quality repairers and has a broad membership base across the State.
The core business is a buying group, however it has evolved into much more and offers members networking opportunities and a range of business services and benefits that add value add to their operations. The members are all equal shareholders in the Car Craft company as well as being independent owner/operators of their own businesses.
Car Craft WA recently accredited 80 technicians in the identification and welding of the new age steels through the WA training organisation Polytechnic West. To further assist with quality repairs for consumers, members are also supplied with an annual subscription to Thatchamnet. There are also annual dividends to members and many more benefits provided during the year.
The group is also an industry advocate, committed to ensuring best practice among members while raising the industry’s profile and improving the community’s understanding of the benefits of dealing with a trusted and respected group of repairers.
“Car Craft’s model works extremely well in WA,” said general manager Noelle Simons. “We believe that Queensland collision repairers will adopt the concept and develop a similar business structure that will see them reap the benefits.”
Car Craft will have a group of around 55 members and their partners attending May’s Collision Repair Expo in Melbourne and will also exhibit at a booth so that the team can deliver their message face to face with interested parties.
